T-552 - Extractive Distillation Column - this column works under pressure. It is the main tower in the process. Everything starts here and everything interacts with this column. Temperature and pressure are very important here. 190 alcohol is fed in and mixed with process water. At light boiling, impurities are driven up the column and alchohol works down the column.
